Home-improvement chains preach DIY staycations

Lowe's and Home Depot are taking aim at homeowners who plan to stay put this summer with in-store promotions designed to spur sales of everything from plants for the garden to fantasy staycation packages complete with tiki huts and hammocks. Discount chains Target and Wal-Mart are also promoting items for consumers who don't plan to travel, including inflatable pools and patio furniture.
