Instructor: E-readers have pros, cons in the classroom

Electronic-reading devices, such as Kindles, could be useful classroom tools, but teachers must realize that students could misuse the devices, writes Joseph Smigelski, a college English instructor in Northern California. Smigelski, who said he has resisted using e-readers, cites the pros and cons of such devices, but says it is the content of the material -- not the medium in which it is presented -- that is most important.
