Key senators step into the spotlight on regulatory reform

Legislation to overhaul financial regulation moved a step closer to being approved by the Senate as Sen. Scott Brown, R-Mass., indicated that he might vote in favor of the bill. His vote could give Democrats the support needed to send the legislation to President Barack Obama for his signature. Brown is one of a few key Republican senators who could sway the vote one way or another.
