NBCT uses theater to foster inclusive learning

Erika Saunders, a special-education and gifted-education teacher at a Philadelphia elementary school, had her students stage a modified production of "Romeo and Juliet" as part of a drama club she created at the school. Saunders, a National Board Certified Teacher, engaged her students in a collaborative modernization of the script, and students were able to contribute according to their individual talents.
