Report: North American PP prices continue to fall

The North American polypropylene market has experienced an 8-cent drop last month after a 12-cent drop in May, putting prices at about 18% lower during the two-month period, says Plastics News' Frank Esposito in this article and video. The price reduction was brought by an increase in the supply of propylene monomer feedstock and lackluster demand for PP, he adds. North American PP demand was flat from January to April compared with the same period last year, according to the American Chemistry Council.
