Faulty roof welds hamper renovation at Chicago's O'Hare

Several structural problems have slowed the pace of O'Hare International Airport's Façade and Circulation Enhancement project, including an error in the welds used to hold up the facility's canopy roof. A lawsuit filed by the city of Chicago against builders and architects said the welds used were "based on incorrect design calculations" and resulted in millions of dollars in repairs.
