Study: India's doctors need more zoonoses training

India's physicians lack the training they need to prevent and treat zoonotic diseases, according to a recent survey of medical professionals, and too often practitioners of human and animal health fail to work together on zoonoses. There are about 200 diseases that fall into the category and zoonoses are responsible for about 60% of all human infections, according to the World Health Organization.
