A distinguished superintendent's fall from grace

During his first eleven years as superintendent, Dr. Frank A. Tassone led New York's Roslyn school district to prominence through his progressive management style. Yesterday, however, the noted administrator was led away in handcuffs on charges that he used $1 million in districts funds over the past 27 months to pay for personal trips, furniture and other luxuries.
