Study: Soy protein may not decrease bone loss

In a Dutch study, soy protein was not shown to be an effective replacement for hormone therapy in menopausal women but researchers said the study might not be conclusive and that more investigation is needed. It was hoped the isoflavones in soy would replicate the effects of estrogen compounds in standard hormone therapy treatments.
