CFTC considers initiatives to curb commodity speculation

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission is set to announce that it will aim to reduce volatility of commodity prices as it considers ways to curb speculation in the market. The regulator would restrict the size of investments firms can make in a commodity. Wall Street companies are expected to oppose measures to rein in commodity speculation.
