Former W.Va. governor is elected head of NBPTS board of directors

Bob Wise, former West Virginia governor and president of the Alliance for Excellent Education, has been elected chairman of the board of directors of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. He takes the place of former Georgia Gov. Roy E. Barnes. "We can have all the technology built in, we can have the various programs, but it's the quality of the teacher that is the determinate factor," Wise said.
