Amazon launches UK online grocery

Amazon has launched a foray into online grocery sales with a UK site selling about 22,000 brands of food and consumer products. Amazon will compete with several bricks-and-mortar chains that have added online grocery sites in recent years, including Tesco and Sainsbury's. The pure-play online retailer plans to offer discounted prices when shoppers buy in bulk, but standard-size offerings appear to be competitively priced, The Daily Mail reports.
