Formula rethinks maximum workout heart rate for women

A new calculation for a woman's maximum heart rate corrects a decades-old formula that gives inaccurate results, usually on the high side, researchers said after studying about 5,500 women. The new calculation could help women who have struggled to keep up with target heart rates set by the old formula.
