Plans for inland port, intermodal facility are bolstered by rail

A new inland port proposed for Georgia and a planned intermodal facility in Ohio are being planned around rail links. "By improving rail connectivity between the ports and southwest Georgia, Cordele, Crisp County and their partners are further opening the region to trade with international markets," said Curtis Foltz, executive director of the Georgia Ports Authority.
