Rhee plans testing expansion to evaluate D.C. educators

A planned expansion of student testing in Washington, D.C., will be used to evaluate teachers more often. Eventually, regular assessments will be administered for students in kindergarten through 12th grade under the plan proposed by Schools Chancellor Michelle Rhee. Currently, the district abides by federal laws that require annual testing for students in grades three through eight and once in high school.
