Sugary soda gets the boot from San Francisco vending machines

San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom issued an executive order banning nondiet sodas, sports drinks and artificially sweetened water from vending machines on city property. The initiative to fight obesity calls for replacing the sugar-laden beverages with diet drinks, nonsweetened juices, water, and soy or rice milk.
