Veterinarian warns of possible distemper outbreak in Minnesota area

A veterinarian in Red Wing, Minn., has warned that raccoons and foxes that were seen in the area in recent months may be suffering from canine distemper, which can be transmitted to dogs through the air. Pet owners were advised to avoid the animals and keep their dogs' distemper vaccines up to date.
