Expert: Hotels pay more attention to associations in economic crunch

Associations increase their value to the hotel and events industries when the economy slows down because they don't cancel their meetings as corporations do, says Rick Eisenman, CEO of meetings management firm Eisenman & Associates. In an interview with Travel Market Report, Eisenman adds that association meetings have become shorter and their recreational activities reduced because of the recent recession, but they remain important for hotels.
