Rivals start to erode Groupon loyalty in major markets

Boston has proven a major market for leading daily deal site Groupon, but growth has slowed and per-subscriber revenue has dropped as a growing group of rivals vies for the attention of the city's bargain hunters. The pattern is playing out nationally -- Groupon's market share fell in May while competitor LivingSocial saw a corresponding rise.
