70 retailers reach agreement on Bangladesh inspections

A group of 70 retailers and clothing brands including H&M, Carrefour, Marks & Spencer and Loblaw has agreed to inspect all Bangladesh factories that make their garments within the next nine months and take immediate action when they discover serious safety issues. Most of the companies are based in Europe, but a few U.S. brands including Abercrombie & Fitch, Sean John and Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger parent PVH have signed on.
