Mainstream cars increasingly add technology aimed at safety

Vehicle technologies that aim to enhance safety and help save on gas, previously available chiefly from luxury-car brands, increasingly are being added to mainstream vehicles such as the Nissan Rogue and the Ford Fusion. As a result, the costs of such features are expected to decrease. Some of the technologies are automatic braking, improved cameras and adaptive headlights.
