Photocatalytic pavement: Paving blocks designed to eat smog

Paving blocks sprayed with titanium oxide were installed a year ago on a street in the Netherlands town of Hengelo. Researchers at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands found that the "photocatalytic pavement" has cut nitrogen oxide pollution up to 19% during the course of a day.
