Ark. allows retail growler sales to boost microbreweries

Arkansas has amended its liquor laws to allow craft microbreweries to sell growlers of their beer in retail stores with beer permits. Breweries in Arkansas have increased from two to 19 in the past few years, and will be able to expand and boost competition under the new law, said state Alcohol Beverage Control Division Director Michael Langley. The law still allows on-premise sales at breweries seven days a week, but growler sales are prohibited on Sundays, as are bottled and canned beers.
