Comcast acquisition of FreeWheel is seen as mobile-ad and data coup

Media executives are concerned that Comcast's acquisition of FreeWheel Media, whose customers include rival channels, gave the cable company access to information about its competitors that could serve as an advantage in digital and mobile. Comcast plans to operate FreeWheel, which provides technology to run ads in video programming on mobile devices, independently and without preferential treatment to its own NBCUniversal, sources say.
