Luxury for the long term: New offerings in NYC

Extended-stay guests are getting more amenities and richer service at New York luxury hotels. For instance, when Marmara Park Avenue opens in August, it will feature penthouse suites, terraces, and apartment-like configurations for longer-term guests. "More than just extended stays for medical visits, we've found that New York City-bound [property] buyers have a desire to be local while they are waiting for a newbuild to be complete or simply want the option to view properties hot on the market," says David Chase, general manager of New York Palace, which recently added corner suites as part of its upgrade.
