Plane seats scarcer, more expensive

Travelers are paying 4.5% more for plane tickets this summer than they did last year, according to data from Travelocity.com. They also have fewer seats to choose from, as carriers have reduced the number of flights available and are in some cases using smaller planes on regular routes.
