Sandy Hook victim's passion for animals honored

Although 6-year-old Catherine Violet Hubbard was killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in 2012, her dream of helping animals continues to be fulfilled. During her life, she raised money to buy treats for local shelter dogs, and now an animal rescue and rehabilitation center featuring a veterinary clinic is being established in her name. "We know that what we're doing is honoring Catherine and it's about Catherine. And that alone has helped us stay connected to her memory and honoring her life," said her mother, Jenny Hubbard.
