Study: Half with hepatitis C in U.S. are unaware of their infection

Only half of 3.5 million people estimated to have chronic hepatitis C in the U.S. were diagnosed and aware of their condition, according to a study at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Only 43% had access to outpatient care and just 16% received treatment for HCV.
