Diabetes diet causes controversy

For years, diabetic patients have been told to emphasize starches and carbohydrates in their diets. Nutritionists, however, now are arguing against such a recommendation, noting that the body treats carbs as another form of sugar; they allege putting more sugars into a diabetic's diet is dangerous.
