Campaigns offer new approach to female marketing

Unilever's Dove brand and American Girl are promoting their products to young women as "real beauty" options, a departure from traditional beauty-product marketing. Unilever has set up a Web site, campaignforrealbeauty.com, to promote its Dove products, and Bath & Body Works will sell the "American Girl realbeauty Inside and Out" line of soap, gels and lotions in its 1,200 stores.
