Honolulu hotel to reopen after $150M makeover following earthquake

The Mauna Kea Beach Hotel in Honolulu is scheduled to open in December after being closed for two years following an earthquake in 2006 that resulted in extensive damage. The $150 million restoration gave the hotel fewer rooms but larger ones and renovated interiors. The hotel's exterior facade will remain the same.
