World's largest solar roof planned for GM plant in Spain

The world's largest solar roof power generation system is planned for General Motors Corp.'s 2,000-square-foot auto plant in Figueruelas, Spain. Energy Conversion Devices Inc. is in a deal to install about 85,000 UNI-Solar thin-film flexible solar laminates on the building's roof, for a peak capacity of 12 megawatts.
