Considering his track record halfway through his five-year term, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said he is not bothered by the fact he is not a household name -- saying he prefers working behind the scenes as a man of action. Some critics agree but don't view this trait as a positive, suggesting the public position of the Secretary-General should be used to put public pressure on nations to fall in line with global initiatives or international law. Ban says it's too early to judge work on his main goals, including promoting peace in Darfur and other conflict areas in Africa.
