Bayer submits contraceptive Qlaira for FDA approval

Bayer submitted its birth-control pill Qlaira for FDA review. The drug, which is also indicated for excessive menstrual bleeding, contains a combination of the body-identical oestrogen called estradiol and the progestin dienogest.
