Google aims Chrome OS at netbook market

Google is targeting the netbook market, among other platforms, for its new Chrome operating system, which will compete against Microsoft Windows and will name its PC maker partners within a few days, the company said today. The Linux-based software -- set to debut in late 2010 -- differs from Google's Android-based operating system in that Chrome OS will be geared for larger devices, although the products will apparently overlap in the netbook space.
