Researchers design new flexible solar cells

A new solar-cell design could reduce the cost of solar cells by allowing manufacturers to use less expensive materials. Designed by researchers at the University of California at Berkeley, the design surrounds the solar cells in a rubbery polymer. The cells have the potential to be incorporated into flexible solar panels made of aluminum foil.
