Study predicts continued growth of convenient foods

Sales of sweet and savory snacks as well as healthful snacks are expected to grow 16% over the next several years as more consumers eat smaller and on-the-go meals. The NPD Group's study also predicts a 20% increase in the number of diners eating restaurant-purchased meals at home.
