Total air sales fell 25% in first half, ARC says

The Airlines Reporting Corp. reported that total airline ticket sales in June dropped 20% from June 2008 to $5.7 billion. In the first half of 2009, air sales, including taxes and fees, by ARC-appointed agencies fell almost 25%. More than 99% of all tickets were e-tickets, according to ARC.
