CNN.com, Yahoo.com, FoxNews.com and MSNBC.com attracted sizable traffic for their live webcasts of Michael Jackson's memorial service but didn't come close to the traffic generated by President Barack Obama's inauguration in January. CNN and MSNBC used partnerships with Facebook and Twitter, respectively, to allow users to post comments on the events as they unfolded, according to this article.
