Air travel is far better than its reputation

Despite all the grumbling about commercial travel these days, airline watchdog George Hobica says things really aren't that bad. Hobica looks back on 10 trips he's flown recently on multiple airlines, and the overall experience has been overwhelmingly positive, he writes. So why the bad reputation? Hobica has a theory: "Do we tend to remember, and complain about, the bad flights, but forget to be grateful for the good ones?" he wonders. "I'll bet if you think about it, the skies are friendly more often than not."
