Alabama university gets federal grant for nursing loans

The HHS awarded a $655,000 grant to Samford University in Birmingham, Ala., to fund its loan program for nurses who want to pursue graduate studies and become nursing instructors. Student recipients of the loans can have as much as 85% of their loans forgiven if they become full-time faculty members at an accredited nursing school.
