Comptroller of the Currency Dugan plans to step down Aug. 14

The White House likely will be under intense pressure to fill the position of comptroller of the currency, which will be vacated by John Dugan, who recently wrote to President Barack Obama saying he will leave when his five-year term expires in August. The regulatory-revamp bill would expand the power of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
