Japan's Fast Retailing, operator of the clothing chain Uniqlo, reduced its annual earnings forecast, an indication that the retail giant is facing challenges. Uniqlo has done well as it opened new locations around the world, but Japanese sales rose less than 1%. "We weren't able to communicate about our products to our customers directly," said Chief Financial Officer Hidetsugu Onishi. "Customers want to be told which products are the most popular. If there are too many choices, psychology makes it that human beings can't decide."
