Poison is suspected in Alabama pet deaths

About a half-dozen pets died on a street in Anniston, Ala., last week, according to residents who suspect the animals might have been poisoned. Veterinarians say the pets exhibited symptoms that are consistent with what happens to animals that have ingested rat poison or antifreeze.
