Settlement between Franck's Lab, FDA may still be far off

The lab that made the nutritional supplements ingested by 21 polo horses shortly before they died has been in settlement talks with the Food and Drug Administration for months, but recent court filings show the two sides may not be any closer to reaching an agreement than they were when they started. This week, Franck's Lab filed a motion to dismiss the FDA's complaint; a day later, the agency filed for an injunction that would bar the lab from resuming its $8 million compounding business.
