A4A's Calio to testify at hearing on Abu Dhabi customs plan

House lawmakers will hold a hearing this week on a plan to establish a customs preclearance facility in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Nicholas Calio, president and CEO of Airlines for America, is scheduled to testify at the hearing. A4A has opposed the Abu Dhabi preclearance proposal because the group says it would give an advantage to foreign airlines, particularly since the Abu Dhabi airport is not served by any U.S. carriers.
