Banks' interpretations of Volcker rule differ

Banks are using different strategies to comply with expected Volcker rule provisions relating to curbing employee participation in bank-run investments. Before the provision is finalized, Citigroup has forbidden its employees from investing with clients in the bank's funds, said a person with knowledge of the decision, while UBS allows advisers to continue to invest if they meet certain criteria.
