How virtualization can help SMBs get over the BYOD hump

Small businesses are increasingly jumping on the bring-your-own-device bandwagon, but thanks to fewer resources and the absence of BYOD protocol, they are having a harder time managing what Breakthrough Technology Group's Jeff Kaplan calls the four components of a successful strategy: security, policies, infrastructure and management. According to Kaplan, SMB can even the odds using software-as-a-service and cloud-based services including a virtual desktop infrastructure that allows administrators to centrally house and manage corporate data.
