Investor group is suing U.S. over Fannie, Freddie rescues

Hedge fund Perry Capital is the leader of a group of investors suing the Treasury Department and the Federal Housing Finance Agency over their involvement in a 2012 amendment to the 2008 rescue terms for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The lawsuit doesn't seek damages but seeks to force the Treasury and FHFA to abide by the original terms, according to a lawyer involved in the case.
