Mars Curiosity rover begins long journey to Mount Sharp

The Mars Curiosity rover began its 5-mile journey to Mount Sharp on Friday, after almost a year of examining mudstones at its touchdown point in Yellowknife Bay. The journey to Mount Sharp will take several months or longer, especially if the rover stops to collect data on any unusual rocks it finds along the way.
